Are you interested in health issues?
Recent talks have included discussions about: training for staff supporting people in Care Homes, the Hospital's Physiotherapy Services, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Dignity in Care and the National Dementia Strategy.
Although members give their views and ask questions of every speaker, we have also taken part in specific consultation including the NHS Constitution and car parking at NHS premises.
The group have recently undertaken their own research into the Hospital's Physiotherapy services and the results will be available soon.

Healthclick is a safe informative, local website for the people of Darlington who have received an Information Prescription for the following long term illnesses: diabetes, hypertension, depression, CHD (coronary heart disease), COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder), stroke and lymphoedema.
LINk (Local Involvement Network) is made up of individuals and groups from across the community and will be funded and supported to hold local health and social care services to account.
The Health Group meets at Havelock Street Community Centre on the first Monday of each month at 10.15am. (Please note that meeting dates will vary if there is a bank holiday on the usual date).
