Do you want to have your say about Transport in Darlington?
The GOLD Transport Task Group runs monthly to talk about transport issues, and meets regularly with managers from both Arriva and Stagecoach bus companies, the Council's transport section, other voluntary organisations and the Darlington Taxi Drivers Association.
This year the Transport Group is looking at:
- The Pedestrian Heart Scheme and bus services in Darlington
- Consultations about bus information and timetables
- Investigating subsidised and cross town bus routes
- Access to taxi ranks in the town centre for older people
- 'Local Motion' and cycling opportunities for the over 50's
The group also sends representatives to the Darlington Transport Forum which is held every three months at the Town Hall, and is part of the Accessible Transport Group run by Darlington Action on Disability.
